With a clear emphasis on well made skate wear and hardware, the Magenta Skateboards range always includes premium Magenta t-shirts, hoodies, beanies and decks. About Magenta Skateboards

Magenta Skateboards was started in 2010 by Vivien Feil, Jean Feil and Soy Panday.

The idea was to create something that reflected their own view of skateboarding rather than following the increasingly corporate direction they felt skating was heading in at the time. Soy Panday has remained central to Magenta's visual identity through his artwork and art direction.

That independent approach still runs through the brand today, with plenty of focus on travelling, skating cities, meeting people and actually enjoying being out in the streets with your mates.

Magenta Skateboard Decks

Magenta produces a constantly changing selection of pro decks, team boards and more unusual shapes, usually finished with Soy Panday's distinctive artwork.

Magenta's decks use quality Canadian maple, with current models produced through Generator. Depending on the size and model, you'll also find different concaves and shapes throughout the range rather than every deck feeling exactly the same.

The classic Magenta Plant logo regularly appears across the range alongside seasonal board series, collaborations and one-off graphics.

Magenta Clothing & Accessories

Magenta isn't just about the boards.

The brand produces a full clothing range including t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, trousers, jackets, caps and accessories, with new designs arriving throughout the year.

The clothing tends to follow the same understated direction as the decks, mixing simple Plant and script branding with more detailed graphics and seasonal ideas.

It's skatewear that doesn't need massive logos all over it to look like skatewear.

What Makes Magenta Different?

Magenta has always pushed a slightly different side of street skateboarding.

Rather than everything revolving around the biggest rails or hardest tricks, there's a lot more emphasis on style, lines, interesting spots, travelling and using the city around you.

That approach carries into the videos too. Magenta has filmed projects around France and across the world, with plenty of close-up street footage and an emphasis on showing the places and people surrounding the skating rather than just stacking tricks.

Add Soy Panday's artwork into the mix and you end up with a brand that has a pretty unmistakable identity.
