Bones Skateboards Brand History 

Back in the early 1980s, when skateboarding was struggling and quality bearings were impossible to find, George Powell went on a mission. Why don't Bones bearings use ABEC ratings?

Bones uses "Skate Rated" specifications instead of ABEC because ABEC ratings are designed for electric motors, not skateboarding. Bones' tolerances and clearances are optimised specifically for skating's unique demands, side loads, impacts, and variable speeds that ABEC doesn't account for.

What's the difference between Bones Reds and Swiss?

Swiss bearings are made in Switzerland with premium materials and tighter tolerances, making them faster and longer-lasting. Reds are made in China to similar specifications but at a much lower cost, offering 90% of Swiss performance for a fraction of the price.

How long do Bones bearings last?
