An 8.25" deck is a dependable all-round size for most skaters. It offers a good balance between control, stability and enough room under your feet without feeling overly wide. Narrower decks can feel quicker and easier to move around for technical skating, while wider boards provide more stability and extra space under your feet. Wider and shaped Madness decks are also a solid choice for transition, bowls and anyone who prefers a bigger setup.

Madness Deck Construction
Madness has always pushed beyond basic seven-ply boards, using different constructions and deck features across the range. Selected Madness decks use bio-based Resin-7 construction, combining seven plies of maple with resin glue to create a strong, consistent board that is designed to retain its shape and pop. Some decks may also include additional features such as Impact construction, wheel wells, grip grooves or slick bases. These details vary between models, so check the individual product description before choosing your board.

One of the best things about Madness is that the decks do not all feel or look the same. Alongside regular popsicle shapes, the brand is known for wider boards, shaped decks and unusual outlines that offer something different from a standard setup. Are these Madness decks genuine?
Every Madness Skateboards deck we stock is 100% official, sourced through authorised UK distribution. Madness is known for its holographic foil, embossed canvas texture and Resin-7 construction, and you'll get exactly that. We don't sell counterfeits or seconds.
What size Madness deck should I get?
Madness decks mostly run from around 8.0" up to 8.75", with some wider shaped decks above that. As a rough guide: 8.0"–8.25" suits street and technical skating, 8.375"–8.5" is the popular all-round park and transition range, and 8.6"+ suits bigger riders, bowls and ramps. Madness is also one of the few brands doing longer wheelbases (14.5"+), so check the individual product spec if wheelbase matters to you. Not sure? Message us and we'll point you to the right one.
Are Madness decks good for beginners or more for collectors?
Both. They're full 7-ply Resin-7 boards built to be skated hard so they're good as a first "proper" deck. But the holographic and foil graphics also make them popular as display pieces, so plenty of buyers keep them wall-mounted. You're not paying for a graphic that falls apart the first session.
Is this just the deck, or a complete skateboard?
Unless a listing specifically says "complete," these are decks only, no trucks, wheels, bearings or grip. If you want it set up ready to ride, add grip tape and a set of trucks/wheels at checkout, or [link to your completes/build-a-complete page]. Happy to build one up for you if you ask.
How fast do you ship Madness decks, and how much is delivery?
We ship from our shop in Solihull. Skate Decks are free delivery over £90 or £4.99 for all other orders. Get next day delivery from £7.99. Orders placed before 12pm on working days go out same day.
What if my size or graphic is out of stock?
Madness graphics are produced in limited runs, so once a design sells out it usually doesn't come back. If a board shows out of stock it's likely gone for good, but drop us a message and we'll see if more are due or suggest the closest alternative.
