About Lurpiv Truck Company

Lurpiv Truck Company is a Swedish skateboard truck brand developed by Oskar "Oski" Rozenberg.

Rather than simply copying the truck shapes that have been around for decades, Lurpiv has experimented with the hanger, baseplate and overall geometry to create something that looks and feels noticeably different.

The chunky, almost industrial-looking design makes them easy to spot, but there's proper thought behind it too. Lurpiv has continued to refine the truck through several generations, with the current Lurpiv 3 range building on the earlier designs.

What Size Lurpiv Trucks Do I Need?

As with any skateboard truck, you'll want the axle width to sit reasonably close to the width of your deck.

The current Lurpiv 3 range comes in three main sizes:

145 - a good match for decks around 8.125" - 8.5"

150 - a good match for decks around 8.5" - 8.75"

155 - a good match for decks around 8.75" - 9.0"+

You don't need the truck and deck width to match down to the millimetre, so there's some room for personal preference if your deck sits between two sizes.

Lurpiv Solid vs Hollow Trucks

Lurpiv produces its trucks in both Solid and Hollow versions.

Solid Lurpiv trucks are the standard construction and a good choice if you're not particularly bothered about keeping the weight of your setup down.

Hollow Lurpiv trucks use lighter hollow components to reduce weight while keeping the same basic truck geometry and feel.

Both versions are available across the current 145, 150 and 155 Lurpiv 3 sizes, so the choice mostly comes down to whether you prefer a standard or lighter setup.

What Makes Lurpiv Trucks Different?

The first thing you'll notice is the shape.

Lurpiv's hanger has a much squarer, more industrial appearance than most skateboard trucks, giving them a look that's somewhere between modern engineering and an old-school truck.

The geometry has also been developed around responsive turning, stability and plenty of clearance when the truck is leaned over. The current Lurpiv 3 sits at 55mm high, putting it around the taller end of a standard skateboard truck setup.

They won't feel exactly like the trucks you've been skating for the last ten years - and that's kind of the point.
