SKATEBOARDING NEWS THIS WEEK
NOX SKATE 'PAI MEI'
My Crews Video, which I've put obnoxiously as this weeks #1 video.
Me and my mates from Walsall have had a little crew going since we were 13/14, NOX. Since then, we've made a lot of friends and got a hit better at filming projects.
We've filmed a little 9 minute video on a small Panasonic VXF990. We hope you like it. We're very excited to upgrade to the Panasonic HMC151 for the next video, the big boy!
Enjoy the little reference to Kill Bill's Pai Mei, the kung fu master with the coldest quotes ever.

All my favourite skaters at Lloyds filmed on a VX1000
I can not find anything about Linear Tapes, who runs it, what they are etc. I assume this videos filmed by Jacob Harris, as the majority of the footage on their instagram is at Lloyds and filmed nicely on a VX1000, with an artsy mystical filming style, similar to the Atlantic Drift videos
This 15 minute banger is a great historical addition to the archive of skateboarding footage filmed at Bristol's Lloyds spot. Starting off with some lovely hazey drone shots of Lloyds, followed by a quarter of an hour of creative, techy lines filmed nicely on the infamous Sony VX, usually combod with an MK1/MK2 fisheye.
With complimentary, whacky tunes, a spotlight on a legendary UK spot and skaters like Mike Arnold, Shaun Currie & Phil Parker, this couldn't be more up my street if it tried.
Dee Collins goes PRO for National Skateboard Co
National Skateboard Co Turn Dee Collins Pro !
After dropping an insane amount of footage over the past year, Dee Collins has grown a fan following across the UK, repping New Balance Numeric, GVNMNT Clothing Co and National Skateboard Co.
If anyone deserves to go pro, it's Dee! He's got a sick style, a big bag of tricks and he drops a new clip everytime you blink. If you don't already know Dee Collins, get to know!
Respect Dee, keep killing it.
Rassvet Skateboards presents Lilian Fev - ELINA
Lillian Fev joint Rassvet
Rassvet Skateboards latest addition to the team is Lilian Fev, who's name sounds like a girls name, but he is actually a stylish guy with a moustache. The editing and filming is exquisite... and so is Lilian's trick selection. I even liked the fade transitions dotted around the part.
There's a lot of ride on grinds and wallies, which I don't hate! There's a bit too much B-roll, but again, I quite like it! The song's a little questionable though, but again, I should hate it more than I do. Overall, he's a sick addition to the team, he's got a wicked style and trick selection and his part lives up to his high standard.
Chris Joslin Joins Lakai Footwear
Chris Joslin gets kicked off Etnies and joins Lakai
After Sole Tech was sold, again, Chris Joslin was kicked off Etnies. In response, Chris joined another failing shoe company, Lakai Footwear 😂
Mate, Chris Joslin is an absolute beast, a great parent and a great role model, he should be getting that shoe money! I don't know what's led him to join Lakai, he should be picked up by New Balance Numeric, Nike SB or Adidas.
Kona Russi - Keep On Knocking
Kona Russi's 9 minute project
Although I'm new to Kona Russi's filming, there's some eye catching names in Kona's new project, such as Max Palmer, Diego Todd and Cyrus Bennett.
Kona is a wicked filmer, and the quality of spots and tricks are top tier. It's 9 minutes long with 0 fillers. It's one of those videos that puts you on a bunch of skaters you've never heard of. I loved the video and can't wait to see his next project.
Ethan Moriceau - Sapphire
Ethan Moriceau's 23-minute project
With the sickest B-roll shots I've seen in a while, Ethan Moriceau's 23 minute project features barely any skaters I know, and I loved it!
There's lots of B-roll, which I'd usually complain about, but I think it adds to this video. To be fair though... there's a bit too much but the shots are cool. The parts / clips themselves are quality. I quite like the mix of skating with music and no music too.
André Gerlich – Smell The Horse
What a Spot in the thumbnail of André Gerlich's Latest Part!
Free Skate Mag just released André Gerlich's latest part, kicking off with some mad trippy wall rides. I like when people use frame rate to make things look trippy.
That car spot's gotta be the coolest skate spot ever, André gets a nice fakie manny clip on it. The rest of the part also features some unique spots, wall rides and funky manny tricks. He also crooks a rope! Cool part with a bit too much B-roll.
Hoddle Tokyo - Hotel NUTS
Hoddle Skateboards Japan Tour 2024
Hoddle Skateboards, Pass~Port's sister brand, release some really mental garms. They took a trip to Japan. Showcasing Tokyo's ridiculous spot selection, the Hoddle team skate some beautiful spots unseen to most.
I love Japanese skating, because skating is so emerging there, so every spots new to the eye and every other spots never been skated before!. They're also aesthetically pleasing 100% of that time. The majority of the video is filmed at night, adding a bit more of a cool look to the spots too. The Hobble boys killed it.
MMXX Vision - RAW PIGEONS.
MMXX Vision's latest Project with Blondie and Pigeons
Kicking off with Blondie looking like he plays guitar for AC/DC doing 43 wall ride 5050's, MMXX Vision's latest video is filled with pigeons, terroring dickhead security guards and absolute bangers. I'd love to comment more on it, but I have to go upstairs and do the online orders :(
Watch the video, it's sick.
