"That hippo's gettin' it”
Welcome to another episode of
'Heard It On The Great Vines'
where we talk about the latest skateboarding videos, skateboard magazines, brands, skatewear & gossip that's been released over the last week.
🥲 I was bloody sick of watching skate videos and didn't have the motivation for last weeks episode... keeping it real! Here's 2 weeks worth of blog ❤️
SKATEBOARDING NEWS THIS WEEK
MADE OF IRON - by Lovenskate
23 Minutes of wholesome UK skating from Lovenskate
They're based in East London, but the new Lovenskate video is filled with a massive roster of UK names and recognisable spots, with some aesthetically pleasing marble clips along the way. It's filmed 4:3, which I like, with a lot of clips filmed by Chris Emery, who I'm a big fan of behind the Panasonic lens 📹.
They should have called it 'Marbles' or something, those marble shots are sick. There's a couple blurry clips in there fellas. What's gewin on there ay? Other than that, it's a top UK project and we love to see it.

KAI KISHI : VENTURE PART
Kai Kishi drops a new part for Venture Trucks
Venture Trucks' team have been putting in a shift. There's been a Venture Trucks part every week in the blog for a month or two. Kai Kishi has been getting the recognition he deserves lately, he's unreal man. He used Slippin' by DMX too, elite song choice.

Kento Urano's "100 Gums" Part
"Japan at night seems like the most magical skate spot in the world'
Kento Urano - Night clips on Japanese gold
Kento Urano is another nutter getting his name out there recently, and is another Japanese wizard. If you haven't heard of him, you'll remember him after this part.
Most of the part is filmed at night, lighting up beautiful Japanese ledges. He has some mad ledge tekkers under his belt, which are well complemented with great filming by ?. No filming credit on this one is criminal, the filming is spot on. Overall, Kai's produced an epic and dark part... with a few great kickflip crooks.

Lucas Puig – “Going Fishing in Biarritz”
"Imagine trying your tricks on the best spot - like your dream spot. You have this spot and it's f*cking perfect for you. You try one try and then it goes away... and you never know when it's going to come back.'
Go Fishing with Hélas and Adidas legend Lucas Puig
Bubble Skate Magazine go follow Lucas Puig to Biarritz, France to take a look at the skating, surfing and fishing scene. He discusses his surfing-snaking guilty pleasure, the go-to fishing spots and blesses us with a bit of footage at a cool ledge spot at the end.
Lucas Puig is a legend, and lives a good life on the coast of France. I'll follow Lucas doing just about anything.

Arbor Skateboards :: Triad
Triad: A place where opposites meet
Legendary old school brand Arbor Skateboards brings us a 1-minute skate video with 3 riders I've never heard of before. It's cool to see Arbor release a new video, and the team is great! I expected it to be primarily bowl skating but was pleasantly surprised with some great ledge tekkers.
The music is generic, and the roll-ups, second angles and B-roll make up half of the video. There! That's all I'm gonna moan about! It's very surfs-up!, Gnarly dude vibes as you'd expect from Arbor. Overall, I love to see it.

Ulph Andersson "Pretty Damn Late" Part | Creature Skateboards
Ulph Anderson drops a massive 7-minute part for Creature Skateboards
Imma be real, I'd never heard of Ulph Anderson, but I like Creature videos and I'm glad I included it in the blog. The video has a classic Creature feel, with a good combo of grunginess, gnarliness and straight-up speed. I thought the music was a bit soft for a Creature video... until the heavy stuff came in! Ulph f*cking shreds to be fair! I'm a fan.
