SKATEBOARDING NEWS THIS WEEK
Chris Joslin 360 Flips El Toro!!!!!
Chris Joslin returns to El Toro to land the 360 flip, landing the cover of Thrasher Magazine
Chris Joslin is the king of 360 flipping massive gaps, such as the UV Davis Gap to end his Plan B True part. In 2017, Chris Joslin attempted to tre flip El Toro, the most legendary 20 stair in skateboarding. He landed it but fell off due to a broken Venture truck. Since then, he left Venture and Etnies and joined Independent Trucks and Lakai Footwear.
This week, Thrasher released their latest cover, confirming that Chris went back recently and landed the tre down El Toro 🤯 Now, we await the footage...
ASICS’ “A Guided Tour" Full Length
ASICS Skate Shoes release their first full-length
Asics Skateboarding released their first full-length video on Thrasher Magazine. Jaako Ojanen has a standout opening part, and the whole team follow with technical and creative ledge and manny combos throughout. It's a quality video.
It's interesting to watch Jacob Harris filming American skateboarding on 16:9... I miss the old days. However, I love the filming style and dreamy audio-visual interludes throughout Jacob; it gives skate videos a narrative and makes you feel a little bit.

Matlok Bennett-Jones skates the Pass Port x Ace Trucks
Mattlock Bennet-Jones and his slick back hair try out the very sexy Ace x Pass~Port trucks, which have classy embossed and laser-edged features throughout. Mattlock's skating is pretty slick too.

Noah Mahieu & Raphael Langslow – That's Cool
Noah Mahieu, Raphael Langslow and friends
I like the music in this one. Noah Mahieu, Rapheal Langslow and friends, including another guest appearance from Max Palmer, skate some beautiful French spots.
Raphael has some mad pop. It looked like such a nice crew to spend the day with. The video format is pretty laid back, but everyone went for it! Excluding a few forgivable tic-taks, this one gets a big thumbs up.

Tony Hawk Shows Off $1 Million+ Skateboard Collection: The "900" & Kurt Cobain Original | On Display
Tony Hawk's collection of memorabilia, as well as random bits and bobs
If anyone cares, Tony Hawk is a bit of a hoarder. The estimated value of the items is hilarious. To be fair, he has some interesting parts of skateboarding history lying around. The presenter is a proper neek though.
The Math of Razor Tail: How Much Pop Do You Lose?
The science behind razor tail on old decks
What really happens to your skateboard’s pop when the tail wears down? Using physics and mathematics, WhyTheTrick calculate the reduction in rebound force caused by razor tail. This video reveals the measurable decline in pop power—and why it feels so much harder to land tricks.
Michael Brunner – Nofy
Michael Brunner for Sensi Skateboards
Michael Brunner releases a lengthy 7-minute part for Sensi Skateboards on Free Skate Mag. I don't know what they filmed this part with but I really like the colours and unique vignette on the footage.
Michael has some awesome ledge combos, and Bobaj kills it on the filming, all finished with a couple of really nice, chilled-out tunes.

An honest review and deep look into the Nike SB Air Max 95
Rose Anvil talks about the Eric Koston, Kareem Campbell drama around the Nike SB Air Max 95, as well as skating it, reviewing it and even cutting it in half. See the real features of the SB Air Max without the painful corporate marketing.
New Balance Numeric | 770 in Paris
New Balance Numeric AM's put the new NB Numeric 770 Skate Shoe to the test in Paris
The new New Balance Numeric, the 770, is pretty ugly in my opinion, but people seem to like it. Half a dozen of New Balance's top AM skaters took a trip to Paris to test them out. Gang Star was a nice choice 🔥

Bon Anniversaire! – Ten Years of Free Skate Mag
Free Skate Magazine is 10 years old!
Free Skate Magazine was launched back in 2015 by ex-Kingpin staff Will Harmon, Sam Ashley, and Arthur Derrien, filling a gap in the market for a high-quality European skate mag.
Over the last decade it’s built a loyal following through its strong photography, distinctive design 🔴, and focus on both major and local European scenes, keeping print culture booming in skateboarding. Its survival and influence are a sick example that independent skate media can do well, shaping how skateboarding is documented today in a digital, lame world.
