Do the DC Lynx OG fit true to size?

For most skaters, yes. DC tend to come up true to size, so we'd recommend sticking with your usual UK shoe size. If you're between sizes or have a wider foot, going half a size up gives a touch more room without the shoe feeling sloppy. The foam-padded collar and tongue help lock your foot in nicely either way.

What are the DC Lynx OG made from, and will they hold up to skating?

The upper is a hard-wearing mix of suede and leather, with leather lace loops and a suede toe, the bit that takes the most abuse when you're flipping tricks. Suede is the go-to for skate shoes because it resists abrasion better than canvas and breaks in nicely. Like any skate shoe they'll eventually show wear in the ollie zone, but the Lynx OG is built to take a beating.

Are they comfortable enough to skate and wear all day?

Definitely. There's an Ortholite sock liner for step-in cushioning, an Impact-G heel insert to take the sting out of bigger drops, and a foam-padded collar and tongue that cradle your foot. Plenty of skaters happily wear the Lynx OG as an everyday shoe as well as for skating.

What's the board feel like, and what skating do they suit?

The Lynx OG has a slim, low-profile build that keeps you nice and close to your board, so you get solid board feel and control for technical street skating, ledges and flatground. The grippy gum outsole bites the griptape well too. If you prefer a chunkier, more cushioned skate shoe you might lean towards a bulkier model, but for that classic slimline feel the Lynx is spot on.

How do I look after the suede on the Black & Gum pair?

Hit them with a suede protector spray before the first wear to help repel water and dirt. Use a suede brush to lift the nap and shift surface muck, and keep them away from the washing machine, hot water and direct heat. The gum outsole is grippy and generally non-marking, so it won't scuff up indoor floors.
