Polar Skate Co Brand History
Back in 2011, Swedish professional skateboarder Pontus Alv, who later also founded Last Resort AB, found himself frustrated with an industry that prevented authentic creative expression. Polar was his answer: a brand where artistic vision leads and commercial formula follows.
That vision shaped everything. Video projects like "I Like It Here Inside My Mind, Please Don't Wake Me Up" redefined what a skate video could be, artist collaborations with Jacob Ovgren, Stefan Narancic and AMTK turned decks into collectible art, and Pontus's Happy Sad motif became one of modern skateboarding's most recognisable symbols.
