New Balance Numeric 600 Tom Knox Shoes: A Skater’s Dream

The New Balance Numeric 600 Tom Knox shoes are a collaboration between New Balance and professional skateboarder Tom Knox. Known for his smooth style and fast footed technical precision, Knox has played a key role in shaping the New Balance 600 into a shoe that’s both functional and fashionable.

The New Balance 600 features a sleek, low-profile design with a durable suede upper and reinforced stitching for added durability. The shoe’s vulcanised outsole provides sick board feel, making it a favourite among skaters who prioritise control and responsiveness. Whether you’re grinding rails or cruising the streets, the 600 is designed to keep up with your every day skate motives.

New Balance 600 Tom Knox: Built for Performance

What makes the New Balance 600 Tom Knox so special? It’s all in the details. Tom Knox worked closely with New Balance to ensure the shoe meets the demands of modern skateboarding. The result is a shoe that’s lightweight, responsive, and built to last.

The New Balance 600 features a EVA Moulded insole for maximum comfort and impact protection, while the Ndurance rubber outsole provides exceptional grip and durability. The shoe’s design also includes a padded tongue and collar for added support, making it a top choice for skaters who spend hours on their board, these will last and last no matter what you're throwing at them. I haven't personally skated these but Con has and he will 100% vouch for the durability on them.

New Balance 480 vs 600: Which One’s Right for You?

If you’re torn between the New Balance 600 and the New Balance 480, you’re not alone. Both shoes are popular among skaters (the 480 has become one of New Balances best selling shoes of any category), but they cater to slightly different preferences.

  • New Balance 600: Known for its sleek design and superior board feel, the 600 is ideal for skaters who prioritise precision and style. Its vulcanised outsole offers excellent flexibility, making it perfect for technical tricks.

  • New Balance 480: On the other hand, the 480 features a cupsole construction, which provides more stability and support for heavy-impact skating. It’s a great choice for skaters who need extra durability for big drops and rough terrain.

Ultimately, the choice between the New Balance 600 vs 480 comes down to your skating style and preferences. If you’re all about finesse and control, the New Balance 600 is your go-to. But if you need a shoe that can handle heavy-duty skating, the NB Numeric 480 might be the better option.

New Balance Numeric 600 Tom Knox: Pro Signature Shoe

The New Balance Numeric 600 Tom Knox is a good reflection of Tom as a skater, stylish and tech. Tom Knox is one of the most respected skaters in the game, and his signature shoe reflects his dedication to the sport (Miles Silvas just beat him to SOTY in 2023)

The New Balance 600 is a testament to Knox’s attention to detail and of New Balances dedication to skating. From the reinforced toe cap to the breathable mesh panels, every aspect of the shoe is designed to enhance your skating experience. Plus, the sleek colourways give it a timeless look that pairs well with any outfit.

How to Lace New Balance 600: Style Meets Function

Lacing your New Balance 600 isn’t just about keeping your shoes on—it’s an opportunity to add a personal touch to your gear. Here’s a quick guide on how to lace your 600s for both style and performance:

  1. Standard Criss-Cross: The classic lacing method provides a secure fit and even pressure across your foot. Perfect for everyday skating.

  2. Bar Lacing: For a cleaner look, try bar lacing. This method reduces bulk and gives your shoes a sleek, minimalist appearance.

  3. Heel Lock Lacing: If you need extra support around your ankle, the heel lock method is a game-changer. It prevents slippage and keeps your foot firmly in place during intense sessions.

No matter how you lace them, the New Balance 600 is designed to keep you comfortable and in control. So whack them on and see for yourself.

New Balance 600 Review: What Skaters Are Saying

So, what do skaters think of the New Balance 600? The reviews are in, and they’re definitely positive.

  • Comfort: Skaters have been hyped on the EVA Moulded insole, which provides cushioning without sacrificing board feel. You can make those all important tweaks when you're just not getting a trick right.

  • Durability: The suede upper and reinforced stitching hold up well against the wear and tear of daily skating.

  • Style: The sleek design is a hit among skaters who want a shoe that looks as good as it performs.

Connor's feedback is "I loved the 600, which is a relief because I love Tom Knox and usually just have more negatives to say when reviewing a skate shoe.  The 600's had a lot of similarities to the Tiago 1010 in regard to how they cushion your heel and have a slightly raised heel silhouette. Both are really good at impact protection, but the 600 is slightly slimmer, like a tennis shoe version. I also found them to have a great flick and a comfortable fit: My foot felt snug but not cramped."

Why the New Balance 600 is a Must-Have

The New Balance 600 is a bit of a game-changer in skate shoe design. With its sleek design, advanced features, and unbeatable performance, it’s no wonder this shoe has become a favourite among skaters.

Whether you’re a fan of Tom Knox, a dedicated skateboarder, or just someone who appreciates high-quality footwear, the New Balance 600 is a heavy addition to your collection. Con loves them, personally I think they look like a dads tennis shoe (and the N's too high), but each to their own
