Hockey Skateboards

Were stoked to have another rad skate brand arrive at The Vines Skate Shop in Solihull. Straight out of the FA World Entertainment umbrella, alongside the recently added Fucking Awesome brand (which arrived at The Vines in December), Hockey Skateboards was established in 2015 as a home for skaters and product which didn't quite fit with the FA mould. The second company created by Anthony Van Engelen and Jason Dill, Hockey has a different feel with a more sinister feel to the graphics and is used as an outlet for any new ideas the duo concoct.

The first inception of the Hockey Skateboards team contained only Donovan Piscopo and John Fitzgerald, both former riders on Alien Workshop. Since its Inception the Hockey Skate team has grown to include Ben Kadow and Andrew Allen and have produced three feature length videos.

Having no real home of its own, Hockey has maintained an air of elusion, but at the same time been prolific at producing online video, marking their initial launch with the release of a promo focusing on Piscopo and Fitzgerald, then backing that up with ‘Hockey II’ once Andrew Allen and Ben Kadow were officially added to the squad.

The slogan ‘Eyes Without A Face’ is as mysterious as the brand itself and only Antony Van Engelen and Dill themselves will know for sure what it refers to. Their Hockey mask inspired skateboard decks are a running theme through each collection and play further into this tagline.
