Get Lesta's 25 Minute UK Full Length

Get Lesta is a UK crew that grew in popularity in the mid-2010s. They appeared on my 16-year-old radar with a collaboration with Primitive Skateboards in 2016. Since then, they've released what I'd say is the best UK footage based from the Midlands, responsible for videos such as Darling & Get 3. I hold them under legendary UK status and it was good to see the crew release a new, relatable, 25-minute instalment.

Get Lesta - Sweetheart

Like all Callun Loomes projects, this one's action packed, without too much BS B-roll. The roster is packed... to name a few: Lucas Healey absolutely kills it starting off the video, Casino youngster Ollie Lawrence has some great footage and local homie Marcus Palmer has a couple clips.

Nothing to dislike about this one, it's a great motivator for myself and anyone else trying to film projects in the Midlands and the UK in general! You'll more than likely find a local spot clip in there. I was very happy to see a lot of Birmingham and Walsall footage featured ❤️.

Louie Lopez's Second Pro Cons Skate Shoe

Louie Lopez released his first pro Cons skate shoe in 2019, and now his second pro model has been released. Louie's always got a smile on his face and is mega steezy. One of the most likeable dudes in skating, so it's no surprise he has a clean low-profile pro model.

I actually had a pair of his first pro model and they sucked unfortunately. Not the worst looking shoe in the world but they felt like slippers! Let's hope these ones do better, because Louie deserves a great skate shoe with his name on them.

The New, Impoved Louie Lopez 2 Skate Shoe

Cons and Louie are brave to say the least, dropping Louie's second pro model in a shiny silver leather silhouette. Personally, I think they look sick!

In regards to the video released alongside them, I like the eerie dark aesthetic of the video, and of course some classic Louie Lopez manoeuvres

Moscow Skate Shops 10 Minute Video

Russian Skate Shop Oktyabr, based in Moscow, bring us a 10-minute instalment featuring some cool eerie music, some unique Russian spots and some brilliant lines. I'm pretty new to Russian skating, and I'm a big fan. The USSR may have had their faults, but they made some incredible Soviet spots. The filming and editingg in this one is also great, big up Pasha Kryukov!

CPTMAFIA's 17 minute Banger

I'm not too sure of CPTMAFIA's origins, I just know they're based in Brazil 🇧🇷. They used to film on tape, but they've just transitioned to HD.

Their first HD project is composed of sick trick selection & absolutely beautiful spots. From start to finish, the crew and camera men kill it, with clip after clip blended over the top of the tunes are decent. No complaints on this one, a sick homie project!

Evan Smith gets a new Shoe Sponsor

iPath comes back to the skate shoe scene through Form Distribution, introducing Evan Smith onto the scene. Evan's a G and it's good to see him on iPath, weirdly they suit him well. He's had a few shoe sponsors over the past couple years, leaving DC Shoes around 2023. This introduction features some quality, classic Evan Smith moves filmed on VX.

Adidas Skateboarding in the Midwest

First things fist, the skating in this video is of a very high standard, featuring the likes of Mark Suciu, Dennis Busenitz, Diego Nájera & Silas Baxter-Neal, you already knew the clips would be heavy. There's an especially sick part by Dan Mancina, who has more steeze than 99% and less eyesight than 99% of skaters. There's some really badass clips in here, definitely worth a watch.

BUT... The video's colours, music and editing do not do the tricks justice in my opinion. If it's not grey as fuck, it's dark. The copyright-free music and mass amount of gloomy looking spots help dampen the spare bits of colour left. Maybe this is the style they're going for and I'm missing the point, but watching reminds me of what it would be like to be colour blind.

Hardest Good - Victor Campillo

Victor Campillo is a steezy blonde bloke who is very good at landing from ledges into manuals, as displayed in this video... nuff said!

Hardest Good - Vincent Huhta

Hardest Good also blessed us with a couple of minutes of raw Vincent Huhta footy. I don't know why these weren't combined into one video, but it must have been to showcase each of them.

Hardest Good - Martin Sandberg

Last but not least, Matin Sandberg showcases around 2 minutes of satisfying ledge stunts. The audio of these clips is music to the ears, some ASMR shit!

As always, I hate the 8mm B-Roll footy, but the spots and trick selection are great, bright glarey fisheye clips filmed by Fritte Söderström & Dan Schulz.

6 Minutes and 33 Seconds of European Skating.

Free Skate Mag bring us Jante, which I believe translates to Wheel Rim in French. If I'm wrong, please forgive me! I am nothing but an ignorant Englishman. 

Anyway, check out the crew in Belgrade, Serbia 🇷🇸.I only know a few names on the roster, but all participants killed it. Very soothing music against a lovely trick selection on spots that I'm very envious of. I love the film photo B-roll throughout the video. It's very relaxing chaos.
