The Vines Welcomes Australian Skate Collective Pass~Port Skateboards to the Roster

Passport Skateboards is an Australian brand out of Sydney and joins fellow aussie skate rats Butter Goods at The Vines. Founder Trent Evans started Passport in 2009 after seeing a lack of homegrown skateboard brands coming out of Australia. It was a matter of taking outside influence, figuring how it could be weaved into a local Australian narrative and re-exported back into the world through the lens of Passport. Through this concept, Passport was born with Trent carrying a strong creative direction and knowing some amazing local talent.

Armed with a VX1000, Trent filmed like crazy and put out early skate edits wiht his new team. Building from here, Passport Skateboards is now available in many countries globally and arrived at The Vines Skate Shop in Solihull in December 2019. Passport T-shirts and Passport jackets head up a strong apparel line that also consists of Passport shirts, beanies, caps and sweats.

Like so many independent skate brands out there Pass Port was launched through a desire to bring something new to the industry which founder Trent Evans felt was lacking both in Australia and internationally back in 2009. Launched in Brisbane, Trent had studied graphic design and worked for other companies on visual design before setting up Passport and had a vision to bring a new sense of creativity to his own designs. With strong personality and references outside of skateboarding, Evans continually tweaks samples until the quality and finish is just right and you can see and feel the effort that goes into every release as well as exclusive collaborative projects and their creative skate videos, the latest being the rad Kitsch.

The team is still representative of Australia's finest - Callum Paul, Josh Pall, Geoff Campbell, Nik Stipanovic, Dean Palmer, Juan Onekawa, Billy McFeely and Jason Rainbird.

Continually inspired by all things skate and travel, the creative team behind Pass Port has designed a super on point collection of items for the R28 release which references nature, travel & even barbed wire. They keep things casual for everyday use and there is an abundance of short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts on offer. Offering an alternative illustrative style the Floral Friends tee presents a detailed drawing of drunk anthropomorphised flowers with 'Pass Port' text printed on chest.
